All projects are different. Since 1998 I have worked on brand new programs, re-writing old ones, adding functionalities to old ones, upgraded old versions and so on.

I have worked in a variety of areas, law enforcement, manufacturing, retail, pharmaceutical, law firms, plan centers and wholesale to mention a few.

What works best is that I discuss with you your particular challenge and we go from there. Often I will either log into the client's system (I often use GoToMyPc) to take a look at the program/source, or the entire program gets zipped up and I look at it on my system.

There is no charge for a reasonable amount of investigating the problem. If I feel I am not the right programmer for the job, I work with some of the top guys in the business and can refer you.

Once we have determined that I can help you, we work on a schedule and the future. I work mostly on a straight hourly rate of $95/hour, but have on occasions set a project price.

I pride myself on working fast, providing value for the hourly rate.

As standard in these project I do require a retainer of a minimum of $500 CAN.

I work with people. So far I haven't really used contracts much, it's more of a one-on-one relationship.
